Freaking out

It turned out my partner, (oral sex 1 time and several blow jobs) and kissing several times had HSV1 (unknown to them) and also HSV2).  Now I am freaking out, because my lips have been burning, and tingling for the last 3 weeks.  I did have blood test for antibodies done, after 32 days of last possible exposure  but they came back negative.
How long before the tests results can be realiable.  I am getting tested again in 2 weeks, which will be 56 days after last exposure.

really no reason for any testing at this point. your symptoms really don't sound like herpes going on. have you seen your provider for an exam?

blood testing isn't accurate until 3 months post encounter. if you do need the peace of mind of further testing, don't do it again in 2 weeks, wait another 6 weeks and do it then.

if you were negative for herpes prior to this, odds are you would've had very obvious symptoms, not just tingling and burning for 3 weeks. if your regular provider is stumped, see a dermatologist or ENT specialist.

Grace:
got the test from my Dr.'s office,   Three months?  I have been hearing so many different time frames, and the most common one seems to be from 6 weeks to 3 months.
Thanks, I appreciate it.
