Friction from intercourse?

i have been with a girl for 6 months and been faithful and recently contracted blisters around my penis head.  I recently went to the docter and he said it did not look like std symptoms and told me to put antibiotic cream on it and see if it goes away.  It is red and like of raw just under the head of my penis and there is a couple blisters.  I have never had anything like this happen before and my girlfriend has had std test and is clean too.  It is just discomforting and I wonder if Friction from intercourse could be the answer.  It also hurts somewhat when pee could this happen from friction from intercourse also? Please help me out it would be greatly appeciated! Thanks.

ok, yea so
i have a similar thing right now, its at the base of my shaft...and it feels like abrastion. its been about 40 hours since intercourse...we had sex 2x late in the night and again in the morning. I felt sore immidiately after, and mentioned that to her and she also was....we had seriously rough sex and we far from sober durring it... she has assured me that she is clean and I know i am too...
but ... it doesn't burn when i pee, or itch, its just abit sore and redish imflamed, i assume its gotta be a friction burn. but still scared.

Odds are that neither you nor your partner have ever been tested for herpes before.  Both of you should ask where you get tested for std's at to see if it was included or not.

Antibiotic cream can further irritate the sensitive genital area sometimes. If you think  you are getting worse, stop using it and return to your provider.

As to what is going on, might take a few visits to the doctor before you figure that out. If it continues, continue to follow up on it.  At this point since a herpes lesion culture wasn't done, no way to know if it isn't herpes or not.  It could also be many other things too.
