Fungal Infection or Herpes

Hi,

I have a red rash on my penis for the past 3 weeks and it does not itch. I have been seeing doctor and he told me I have a fungal infection. He gave me cream and some medicine but there is still red rash on my skin but there is no blister sign yet. What happen was a massage parlor used her hand to masturbate me and put a lot of oil on it. I would like to know is this possibly herpes or it is really just a fungal infection which I should not be worry about. How do I know if I am not infected by herpes? This makes me worry and had not get a good sleep for the past few weeks. How does hand job gives me fungal infection?

No, I am not from Canada. I am still worried the red spot is still there. Did you see the doctor as well?

I am having the exact same symptoms as you and I also did visit the massage parlour. I believe it is the cream or brand of condom that is causing a reaction.
Now i am wondering if you visited the same parlour...r u from Canada?

It's very doubtful that it's Herpes unless you had unprotected sex with the woman in which case it would be possible but from the episode you describe I think it has been more of either a fungal infection or allergy .......
Anything that causes the skin to react takes time to heal it seldom happens overnight.

Yes, I did not told him about the oil, but if this is an allergic reaction, why has it not clear by now? I will visit the doctor again next week since the medication is almost finish but the red spot is still there...I will let him know about this detail but again, could this be herpes?

If you just presented to your Doctor with the rash without telling him anything about  your visit to the massage parlour and the copious ammounts of oil that was used on your penis then he would probably diagnose a fungal infection based on what you told him whereas it could be an allergic reaction to the oil and friction that has caused the rash ...... it is important when visiting the Doctor to give as much detail as possible about why you are there.
Could this be the case?
