GHSV 1 nerve damage?

Hello.  5 months ago I had very drunken sex with a strange woman I haven't seen since. I received unprotected oral and penetrated her vagina and anus with a condom which broke at some point and in which orifice I'm not even sure. I do remember washing my penis with soap at some point.  2 days later my penis tip began to hum and in the next week felt like it had a nine volt battery in it.  No blisters ever showed up only inflammation and pain.  I had night sweats, malaise and no appetite.  Also chain smoked and slept poorly making things worse. I saw the doctor 3 times within this first month as penis tip was starting to sting and I was retaining  urine and dribbling.  They examined my urine all three times and said it was "clean".  Blood tests were done for all STDs at week four and eight including hsv1 and 2. Had cold sores since I was a child so my positive Hsv 1 result was unhelpful.  Negative for hsv 2 and at week 17 still negative for 2.  In the meantime I've had no blisters but an irritated looking penis head that has never stopped hurting.  The pain waxes and wanes and hurts very bad for a day after masturbating.  Also have had severe constipation and am always thirsty. Nothing to swab and no discharge. Testicles get achy on and off. Have taken doxy, diflucan, flagyl (12 hours after taking it I had my one and only discharge. 10 days of acyclovir did nothing.  It has been 5 months without 1 day of relief. Chris Scipio the herpes herbalist writer told me in a phone consultation that the virus expressed itself through the nerves and what I have is damaged nerve endings.  Anybody with any thoughts?

no reason to think this is herpes going on. you haven't had any obvious lesions and you are testing negative for it.   also herpes won't cause non-stop pain like this either.

see a neurologist and also an urologist at this point so they can work together to try to figure out what is going on.

Thanks grace. I did see a urologist who prescribed the doxy.  I am showing pos for 1 which I already had orally but it leaves that door open.  I thought that most people with herpes don't get obvious looking lesions. The meatus is red and sensitive on one side and the whole head seems almost pickled. Have you ever seen a case where the virus infects nerve cells and then retreats leaving them swollen?  I ask because Chris Scipio the guy who wrote Herpes Nation and Making Peace With Herpes claims he sees it often in men.  In our phone consultation he said my having mono and chicken pox in my past had something to do with how the virus was behaving.  Is there anything they could have missed in my urine like e coli that Cipro would clear up?

nothing about your symptoms sounds like herpes.  it's also very unlikely that you'd contract hsv1 genitally after having a well established oral infection. Even if you did become the exception to the rule and contract hsv1 genitally, it wouldn't cause the symptoms you have.  


chris scipio  advocates a lot of treatments for herpes that have no proof that they work.  I really wouldn't have paid for a phone consult with him and I wouldn't believe what he told you.

Thanks again Grace.  I keep wondering if there was something they missed in the urine or blood tests.  Having all this begin 2 days after an isolated sex encounter seems too much for a coincidence.  I never had any of the problems before.  Prostatitis maybe from e coli? Is there anything that might be hard to detect in blood or urine that would cause tingling and pain and work its way to giving me urine problem and constipation? Meanwhile my penis head hurts the more pressure or friction it encounters. Can't lie on my stomach. Should I try a month of Cipro?
