This really isn't something we advocate doing on this board. Many of the sites you are talking about aren't reputible for starters and what some of them are doing is actually illegal hence why it's not appropriate to talk about on a forum like this.
Why not get a prescription from your provider and fill it thru a reputible online pharmacy if you don't want to pick it up at your local pharmacy? It's cheaper that way. You can get a round of episodic therapy for $4 at walmart and similar type stores if you have a prescription from your provider. I think suppressive therapy is $10-14/month there.
Hi Grace, I just wanted to point out that a lot of us here in the US are uninsured and don't have a "provider". therefore it's the cost and means of getting the prescription itself that is the big hurdle to getting the Acyclovir treatment. Do you know of any other ways an uninsured person can get a doctor to write a prescription without having to pay $300 for an out of pocket office visit?
Most communities, be it your county health department or a good bunch of docs who provide their services at low-cost local clinic, offer payment based on a sliding scale. Planned Parenthood as well. There's no reason, even with being uninsured, to pay $300 for a regular private practice doc.
