You can use topical anti- itch products for relief but be sure to follow up on this too.
I recommend dermoplast spray ( the blue can, not the red can for the genital area ). It tends not to burn as much on the genital skin as some other products do. It's a topical anesthetic that can be used on many body parts.

Thank you for your reply.
I was wondering if you can put soemthing like lanacane (they make a special one for genital areas) to help with the itching or will that prolong the healing process?
Have you been examined at all recently to make sure that you don't have a vaginal yeast or bacterial infection going on? Both are common with the first herpes ob and oftentimes just itching is a symptom without any odor or discharge ( especially with BV, bacterial vaginosis ). You need to be specifically tested for both if you haven't been so far. Wasn't sure if your doc actually saw you or not from your posts.
It's not uncommon to have symptoms again this quickly. It's probably the original ob still running its course. Clear up what else is going on and things should settle down quickly for you finally.

Also, with my outbreaks I get VERY itchy and red, my doctor told me I must have a yeast infection. Are these commons symptoms of an OB and how can you soothe the itch?
