Genital Herpes from Kissing?

by bluestone, Nov 26, 2008 02:47PM
I've read quite a lot about Herpes but I'm still not sure about this. Is it possible to get genital herpes from kissing alone? I kissed a girl a few weeks ago and have noticed I have one red spot near my penis, which could just be a random spot, although I've never had one there before. Would just like to know. Thanks

no, you can not get genital herpes from kissing someone.

genital herpes is transmitted thru direct skin on skin contact in the genital area. if your genitals aren't coming in contact with someone else's genitals or their mouth, there is no risk.
