) and after 4 days felt a little itchy/burning sensation on the glans (glands) but not with urination. I thought I saw random, really tiny, non red/white/fluidy bumps one at a time on different places on the head. Since I was very scared I visited my doctor who did not think I had herpes. After a week or so since my visit, I notice white dots on my forearms (following tingly sensations) that don't itch/don't have fluid in them. No fever. Visited my doc and asked for herpes test and he says he does not recommend a herpes test. The itchy/burning sensation on the glans (glands) seems to have waned away.
My questions
1. If the girl has genital herpes (no sores) and I gave here cunninlingus, what are the chances that I may have contracted genital herpes as well?
2. How else can one test positive on the HSV-2 blood test outside of the sexual exposure, could someone never have sex and test positive for HSV-2 on the blood test based on any other means of exposure?
3. If the symptoms I describe are not herpes related, what else could usually cause them?
Since I am freaking out and my doctor seems to brush away the possibility of herpes and even the testing, I am not sure he can see the difference on my penis during normal vs the one or two tiny spots that I seem to be noticing. Please provide a response as there seems to be no documentation on cunninlingus passing genital herpes from woman to man.
this is not the doctor's forum - you have to pay to post there.
1- the odds of infection from a one time protected encounter and unprotected oral sex encounter are very low and not worth any testing from in general. if you've never been tested for herpes before, I recommend a test just to see what your status is in general, not because of this partner 2 years ago.
2- it's called a std for good reason - you have to have initmate/sexual contact to contract it.
3- many things, including jock itch which is very common in males.

Any idea if cunninlingus can pass genital herpes from woman to man as genital herpes for man or would it be passed from woman who has genital herpes to man as oral herpes for man?
