Genital Herpes or just a friction burn?

Have been in a monogamous sexual relationship with my girlfriend for a year now. Always use a condom except one occasion five/six months ago, and neither of us have any history of STDs, and this is a first sexual relationship for both of us.

Last Friday we had sex, but with a condom lent to us by a friend, and whilst wearing it, it felt tighter and less lubricated than the ones I usually use, although I don't remember any pain of chaffing during the intercourse at the time. Yesterday (Monday), I had slight muscle ache, which I put down to an over-strenuous day of work on Sunday, and this morning I found (although have felt the effects of since the weekend) a small pink sore on the base of the shaft of my penis (mostly hidden beneath hair). It's about 1mm wide and 2mm long, and just looks like a small section of skin has been worn away. It doesn't hurt unless touched directly, or I directly apply water to it, and only feel it itch when the skin is moved/pulled, causing it to stretch.

I have spent most of the day looking up STDs and symptoms and online, and due to the muscle ache and the fact that it looks a bit like an open sore, have led to me to believe that I may have caught herpes. Could someone either clarify whether it is likely that I've got herpes or set my mind at ease?

if neither of you ever had partners before, odds are this isn't herpes.

Hi, doctor I have a similar question I relized about 3 days ago a small scab looking cut on my shaft. I have never had unprotected sex and oral like 6 months ago. I have masturbated without lube but this has never happened before. It feels like a normal scab on the arm itches when it rubs on something. I picked off the scab and the skin is pink. Should I be worried or get tested?
