Genital herpes from male or female

Is the risk of a male catching genital herpes from being the insertive partner in oral sex the same whether the receptive partner was male or female?

After 18 days with no symptoms should I stop worrying?

You are at risk if your partner has oral herpes and performs oral sex on you.  Oral sex for herpes is a low risk and we don't typically tell people to get tested unless they have symptoms.  

If you perform oral sex and your partner has oral herpes there is no risk.  

If your partner has genital herpes and you have oral sex you are at a risk. Depending on the type HSV-2 is rare for oral infections. Same if you have vaginal sex you were at a risk.  

At this point I think it is time to stop worrying and move on.  If you get symptoms be seen within 24-48hrs for a lesion culture to be done.
