with HSV-1, I am wondering the risks associated to a partner performing oral on me. What is the chance they would get infected with HSV-1 orally? I have had HSV-1 for 20 years. Over that time I have had about 4-5 outbreaks during the 1st 10 years and none during the last 10 years.
I would for sure make sure any potential partner was tested for EVERYTHING prior to anything happening sexually. I will only be young and dumb once in my life. At the time I contacted HSV-1, I had no idea that a cold sore could be spread to my genitals.
I mainly posted my question because most of the information on this site didn't directly address the genital to oral transmission rates for HSV-1. It only talked about HSV-2.
