Okay so at 12 weeks everything is negative. I'm still having burning around mouth and chin, and small clear bumps that seem to recurring on the same spot on my lip, chin, and neck. Also lip twitching and sharp pains in the labia, accompanied by itching.
Should I look into something else? Is it safe to assume I am truly neg?
How do you know what you have is a cold sore? Who diagnosed you? Was a swab done on what I presume to be a lip lesion?
Please report back your results once the IGG comes back. 4 weeks is early, but a 12 week test should something. Without a swab, it would be difficult assessing if you have genital HSV even if positive via blood. The blood test won't advise the location of infection.
However with an obvious cold sore and positive blood test for HSV1, an oral infection would be a safer assumption.
Without genital lesions, your genital symptoms could be many things, including herpes obviously. Make sure to swab any genital lesion that arises.
Please post back your results.
