Going Insane, Am I Infected?

So, just about yesterday I noticed that I have a bump at the edge of my mouth. A little to the left from where my mouth opens. I didn't think to much of it until this very morning when I looked into the mirror and noticed these small little red bumps, in total they are 2 I would say. So I started reading on Herpes and i was shocked. I haven't had any oral type sex since the summer of 07. And I just recently started dating this girl and I am her first boyfriend ever. She hasn't done anything with any other guy ever so I don't know. I'm really scared once again one painful bump which is very tiny at the edge of my mouth and 2 small red bumps under my lip. The 2 bumps feel like they burn But I think that is my mind playing tricks on me. I only started to actually feel the sensation after I heard that it is a symptom. So please help me.

Actually I think the bump at the edge of my mouth is made from extending my dry lips, i have had similiar ones before even before i ever kissed a person. and as for the 2 bumps i think its irritation from my girlfriend biting my lip, does that make sense?

If you want to know if these are oral herpes related, see your provider today or tomorrow for a lesion culture and typing.  Most adults do have hsv1 orally - it's incredibly common and not many of us make it to the old age home without it.
