Grace what's my risk?
Yesterday I had unprotected oral with another guy. we both performed oral on the anal areas. And I received oral on the penis whats my risk? The sex was protected.
never thought you had herpes causing your symptoms in the first place. No need for any more testing at this point.
Most providers don't do any actual testing for yeast - typically a visual is all it takes. You don't have any reason to doubt the diagnosis you were given at this point.

We don't have a specific accuracy at 10 weeks on testing. However, if you test in the 6-8 period and negative according to Terri (our herpes expert on the herpes expert forums here at MH) you will have a 70% chance of remaining as such. It is always suggested you wait until 12-16 weeks to test for a clear accuracy.

Wow garce dont know what the last few comments were about. Anyways last week i tested neg at 10 weeks for hiv and herpes. My doc said what was going on was not related to herpes and without testing just jumped to yeast. What are my odds of this test being wrong?

If he contracts Herpes from me, I am understanding that they will disqualify him from being a donor? Something to do with his immune system, if it were to weaken that would affect his kidney? making him not able to donate?

I am confused as to why you post this message here. Please either create a new thread or if you have one already post in that question. This I do not see has anything to do with transplants.

I have had herpes for about 4 years. No OB's in a while ( even thought that doesn't mean anything) I met an amazing man who is a donor for his father if his 3rd kidney were to fail! Herpes and transplants??? WE can't risk it? other options? I know I couldn't live with myself knowing If I couldn't help my mom/dad in that way.
We are heart sick. I need answers! I am not sure where to being. Im researching. nay feedback would be a blessing

Hey Grace i know your area of expertise is herpes but I wanted to get your opinion. I thought herpes at first then fungal but now im thinking yeast i may have gotten. Earlier in the post I told you I had diarrhea, that diarrhea is still persistant and majority of the time I have very loose stool. The itching around my genital area is not bad but noticible and their have been small bumps their forever(Not itchy or painful and may even be pubic bumps). I was on antibotics for a bump I described to you in my mouth earlier which was an abscess. What do you think?
if you need the peace of mind, follow up with the proper testing at the proper time so you can let go of the idea of it being herpes.

no but i will grab some cream tonight. My groin area also accompanies an unusual odor as well.I am definatley banking on fungal infection, Im about ready to x herpes out. or do you think testing is still needed?
just itching isn't likely to be herpes. have you been seen about the itching? have you tried antifungal creams on it?

Okay Grace this is my last post. I am coming close to 2 months now. Could I test now and how accurate? Also an update I have had on and off back pain and my area around the genitals still itch;no blisters there though.
How many times do you need hear that this doesn't sound like herpes? At this point follow up with your provider, not a darn thing we can really do to help you at this point with what you are experiencing symptom wise.

Grace now im freaking out, My body was aching in random spots. in my mouth I felt a blister or something in the roof of my mouth. Still getting a little itch in the genitals. My throat feels weird too....its day 10....do you think this is herpes related?....im very sorry for throwing thousands of questions at you.
Okay garce it's been a week now. No visible sores or anything. The itching I described has still has stopped but wll still feel a little urge every now and then. I have noticed my lips were a little chaped and stinging a little (Not sure if I licked them too much or not)...but other than that im fine. Is this enough to stop worrying or continue to check myself a little longer? Do you recommend testing still?
sounds like you are paying a lot of attention to your genital area? Really it's not worth more than just a once daily quick look at. Anything that doesn't hurt or itch probably isn't due to herpes.
