HANDS

I have a rash on both hands, palms, fingers and moving to top of hands between fingers, had it for 2 1/2 months now.  I've been to  an infectious disease Dr. 2x's, said it was Raynaud's. I then went to a Dermatologist, said it was chronic eczema, she gave me Pramosone2.5%, I get temporary relief.  I have HSV 1 & 2, had it for 10 years, I take 500mg Valtrex daily and I have zovirax.  I think the zovirax made it worse, both Drs, said it it not contagious for me to quit worrying about that part of it, dermatologist said I could spread it on myself. Do you have any idea what this could be? I haven't had any sexual relationships or touch anyone in years.  I've been to afraid I would pass this to someone else.
What could I have gotten into and what direction to I need to  take?

Thanks

Unfortunately things like this can take some time to resolve so if your Doctors are saying it's not contagious I wouldn't worry too much although I can understand your anxiety .... I'm afraid you'll just have to ride the storm for now until it resolves or it's finally discovered what your allergic to .... Poor you :(

Thanks so much for your reply.   I have been showering & working in gloves for 2 months and whatever this is pops up in a different place, hands being the worst, have some irritation at the  back of neck & at times feel it on my bottom of feet, not like hands, I guess damage done before I realized I had a problem, Dermatologist said I could spread it on myself.  I am a hairdresser & I let both Drs. know my concerns, they have assured me  it is not contagious to anyone else.  I have been shampooing with gloves on, then I would apply product without gloves and blowdry.   I have now found  a glove that works to apply product & finish the hair with, found it at my dentist  office . Wouldn't you think with the gloves that elimates the hair products from the allergy list? I have  changed soaps & powders at home, going down the list. Evertytime a client comes in with any redness my heart stops,  I would not want to hurt anyone else, it's enough for me.  I have another appt. with Dermatologist tomorrow.  I'm beginning to feel like a leper...;

I would listen to your Doctors this isn't anything to do with your HSV1 or 2 several things can cause rashes on the hands and it will most likely clear up in it's own time,you may be allergic to something,the trouble with that is finding out WHAT your allergic to,think if you have used anything different prior to this rash appearing you find an answer that way,allergies can be anything from soap to washing powder or something you touch on a daily basis that is causing a reaction in your hands .....
It's not Herpes so put that out of your mind
