did you find out what is the cause for your burning? My situation is same now. I received an oral sex 10 days ago, two days later experienced the burning got tested for Chlamydia and Gonorrhea, both came negative. I have been on Cipro for the last week, but the burning does not go away.
Any information would be helpful. Thanks
this post is over a year old. you are probably better off pm'ing the person who made it than posting to it. odds are they don't come back here regularly to see your post.
Here is my situation. I received Oral sex on Jan 1st, 2 days after I felt burning while and after urinating. I went to the doctor and tested for chlamydia an gonorrhea both came back negative my Dr put me on Cipro for 7 days. But Its still constant burning but no symptoms of bumps, sores near my genital area. I am not sure whats going on, could it be herpes?? Do I have to get tested for herpes? if its not herpes what could it be?
I have an appointment with my urologist on Jan, 20th, so any information would be helpful before that.
Thanks in advance.
You should also go throuhg and make your own post. Following up on anothers thread is not the best idea.
While it could be herpes your doctor needs to be the one to follow up with them. They can do a uretha swab to test for herpes but given the timeframe no way to know. Oral sex is a low risk for herpes.
You will not be able to do a Herpes blood test until 3 months have passed from the date of the encounter. We can't give you any other ideas because we focus on herpes but it could be anything.
