HELP! first reoccurance? outbreak or irritation?

I was diagnosed with herpes HSV1 last month via swap from my first outbreak. I took Valtrex and after a horrible outbreak, everything seemed to clear up.

I shaved lightly for teh first time, then had protected sex w my partner (he gave me hsv via oral sex). After sex, I felt a bit sore. Sure enough, one of the raw lines that had healed over, was back.  In fact, my whole genital area felt alittle sore. Does this mean I am having another outbreak - or did I just irritate was was there by the shaving and sex???

HELP!

thnkyou. my valtrex sways one gram. do i take two of these? if things clear up in the next few days should i still abstain from sex?

it is confusing to know what a reoccurance is - as its only sore in one spot.

i was hoping since it is HSV1 I wouldnt have any other outbreaks. This has certainly been depressing, just when i thought everything was healed!

thnks for your help.

It's not unusual to have a recurrence within 2 months of being infected.   at this point avoid shaving again for awhile and take another round of valtrex ( 500mg 2x/day for 3 days ).
