HELLO IM GOING NUTS, IM A 28 YEAR OLD MALE, WELL I GOT ORAL SEX FROM A GIRL, ONLY ORAL SEX, DONT KNOW IF SHE HAS HERPES, BUT TWO DAYS LATER I WAS HAVING PAIN IN MY PENIS, THE PAIN IS IN THE URETHRA, I HAVE NO BLISTER, NO DISCHARGE, NO REDNESS, NO ITCHING.  I HAD THE PAIN FOR ABOUT 24 DAYZ AND IN BETWEN ONE OR TWO DAYZ I DIDNT HAVE THE PAIN THEN THE PAIN CAME BACK AGAIN, I DONT KNOW IF ITS PAIN OR BURNING. I TOOK A LOOK INSIDE AND THE URETHRA LOOKS RED WHEN IT HURTS,  AND I WENT AND GOT TESTED AFTER 5 DAYS FROM THE EXPOSURE. AND THE IGG CAME BACK NEGATIVE AND THE IGM CAME BACK POSITIVE(HIGH), SO I HAVE HERPES NOW, GOD I CANT BELIEVE IT, THIS SUCKS MY LIFE IS OVER.  I DIDNT EVEN HAVE INTERCOURSE WITH HER. SO I HAVE HERPES,  THIS SUCKS, IM ONLY 28 AND LIFE I KNOW IT IS OVER. ANOTHER QUESTION IF HERPES IS SKIN TO SKIN CONTACT HOW DOES HERPES GET IN TO THE URETHRA. IM SO UNLUCKY

You can not diagnose herpes based on the igm test.

did you have any other testing done?

thank you so much for ur reply, i got tested for Chlamydia,Gonorrhea,SYPHILIS after five days from contact and all three came back negative, and also HIV came back negative, so my only thing that came back positive is herpes, and today my left testical was hurting, did i get tested to early, so i guess the only thing left is herpes. so i think its safe to say i got herpes. but when im urinating it doesnt hurt or burn, why is the IGM test not good? how does herpes get into the urethra? i guess im having the pain for along time since this is my first outbreak. thank you

you can test for chlamydia and gonorrhea 5 days post encounter but syphilis needs to be tested for anytime after 6 weeks and hiv anytime after 3 months.

You have your gender as female - might want to change that!

thank you so much, im still thinking its herpes, i have the pain still for about 26 dayz, its seems the pain is more in the day time, im thinking that since this is my first out break thats why the symptoms are taking a long time, well i think its safe to say i got herpes . life is over  idont know wat to do, this pain is not going away and im goin to see my DR 2morrow.

HELLO GRACE
I WENT TO MY DR AND HE SAID THAT FROM THE SYMPTOMS THAT I HAVE HE THINKS ITS Epididymitis and prostatitis and my Dr put me on antibiotics and this is the 7th day with the meds and the pain has gone down (i had the pain for about 33 dayz), but then how would my IGM test come out positive,and i had no other exposure other than the last, so im planing on waiting for 3 months then retest with IGG, i have no hope that it will say negative.  how long does herpes symptoms last?  i had these symptoms for about 33 dayz.  still with no blister, no discharge, no redness, or sores.  im going nuts someone help
