HERPES 1&2 Results HELP UNDERSTAND

Hello --- Back in May 2008 I had been tested  for  STDs  because I have been seeing someone off and on for the past year.    

I was a little confused with my results. Although I am certain I have herpes type 1 although I havent had many cold sores in childhood nor in my adulthood. Both my mother and brother do have them and at least once or twice a year have outbreaks.  My Herpes 1 IgG result was 6.0

Now I have never had any genital herpes outbreaks but since I had my daughter who is 19months now.. I have had a few infections that I have been treated for, but before having a baby I never had problems with infections in the past.. So that really has me worried and also am confused with the Herpes 2 IgG results that is 1.1

So my question is... Do I also have Herpes 2 (genital herpes) ?

Your hsv2 igg is just barely positive. It's most likely a false positive.  

Has your partner been tested to know their hsv2 status?

My off and on friend hasn't been tested yet. I am planning on getting re-tested for Herpes and other STDs since we are seeing other ppl. Do you think since my hsv2 igg was a low (1.1)  could it possibly be another infection I have or even the present of an hsv1 outbreak that I don't know about??

If your partner is hsv2 negative then I wouldn't even bother retesting and just assume it's a false positive. If your partner is hsv2 + then I'd wait and repeat your test in 3 or 4 months.
