HERPES? worried sick....

I have had these 2 dark red colored flat like bumps under the skin in my pubic area, like on the right side on my pubic area but near my leg. they have been there for like 3 months now. then as of 2 months ago, I developed another one of those lumps under the skin, but this time on the left side in the pubic area except its closer to my vagina lip between there and my leg. I put warm compresses on it and it goes down, but never goes away. Now most recently I trimmed my pubic hair about 2 weeks ago and 2 days ago I found 2 small red bumps that kinda hurt but not bad in my pubic hair around the hair follicles like right above where my vagina lips start at the top. I figured that the first set of bumps I got were from shaving, so I stopped and no more new bumps occurred....then I trimmed like I said 2 weeks ago and the 2 new red bumps appeared. Ive been looking up things on herpes and It says that it usually causes blisters, I havent seen blisters but I'm still worried sic

I'd agree with annoymous89. Three months of symptoms are not herpes. See your doc, it's silly to have obvious symptoms and not be seen for a diagnosis. But yes, the trimmed/shaved area sounds like folliculitis.

Hi, I am a 32 year old female and was diagnosed with herpes almost 2 years ago.  I still have many questions myself  about this virus.  I can't speak for others, but when I have had an outbreak there is an actual sore.  What you are discribing doesn't really sound like genital herpes.  I know the thought of having to go somewhere and being tested for STD's is never a pleasant feeling, but in the long run you will be much happier, not to mention less stresed out knowing if you have something, than constinately worring if you have something.
