HPV or Herpes

I went to the doctor because I had a wart on the underside of my penis not very big (less than a centimeter), not painful at all.  Im not really sure how long it was there before I went to the doctor, but I seem to remember it being there for quite some time.  The doctor to one look (no longer than a second) and said it was a papule caused by HPV.  I remeber it pussed the week before and a little bit of white came out, the doctor froze it, and now it seems like i could pop it very easily.  I guess my main concern is that it I feel like I itch my private area a lot.  I havent been sick in like 3 1/2 years.  Just worried that some how the doctor was wrong and it might be herpes. Does Herpes tend to be more than one wart, do herpes warts puss, if you had a wart(ulcer) from herpes would it be painful?

Herpes will not stick around without changing like you've described.  This might not be hpv but it certainly is not herpes.
