HSV-1/HSV-2 tanning question

Last March, my boyfriend and I engaged in rough sex in which I torn pretty bad. The next night I was too sore to have sex so instead he performed oral sex on me. 4 days later I got a small blistery/bump. Within two days I had about 6 around my vagina opening. I went to my on-campus nurse and she visually diagnosed me with herpes. 6 days after being prescribed acyclovir I was healed. My boyfriend and I continued to have unprotected sex ever since. During June I had been outside tanning and got itchy and irritated down there so I started taking my acyclovir although I'm pretty sure it was a yeast infection because I had wore my sweaty bikini bottoms for several hours after tanning. I recently started tanning in a tanning bed and 7 days later got an outbreak. I didn't notice it til there were a few bumps but their not in the same place as my primary outbreak. I've been taking my acyclovir to heal it but its not healing up, its been 11 days and their still there. My questions are:

1) Judging by my timeline, could I have had HSV before the primary outbreak?
2) Are UV rays typically a trigger for HSV-2 or HSV-1 genitally? (ie. tanning bed, I wore my swimsuit bottoms)
3) Considering I didn't get my outbreak til after I had oral sex performed, is it safe to say I have HSV-1 genitally?
4) About how long does it take for an outbreak to heal?
5) Could I have gotten Herpes from using a towel (provided by the salon) to wipe off with after tanning?

FIY: Prior to my genital outbreak, I've never had a cold sore(fever blister) neither has my boyfriend. We were 5 months into our relationship when this happen and engaged in sex daily since our 1st month, (I OFTEN tore prior to this incident)

How often does HSV2 outbreaks reoccur within the first year? Sorry I'm asking so many questions, I just really curious. I've read these forums for months now and have learned so much.

if you got hsv1 genitally from your bf's hsv1 oral infection through oral sex, he's not likely to contract hsv1 genitally now. just avoid sex any time you have anything going on genitally to err on the side of caution. he has significant protection from contracting hsv1 on other body parts.

What is vaginitis? Does the timeline sound right tho, I know he was sick the week before so his immune system would've been lowered, and I had open tears down there when he performed oral sex. I'm really scared of clinics and hospitals and needles! My boyfriend really doesn't wanna know or hear about this situation anymore, because he says he's gonna be with me regardless, but I feel like its my responsibilty to try my best to protect him from getting this. Could I have gotten it 6-7 months prior to my primary outbreak? If so how typical is that to happen?

even the best blood tests still miss 1 out of every 10 hsv1 infections. If you really did contract hsv1 from him, it might not be reflected in the igg blood test. just ask him to get a copy of his blood test results so you can be sure he was properly tested.

Depending on the insurance, depends on if your parents will even ever know you were at the clinic. On the back of your insurance card is a phone number you can call and ask about this. Since you are over 14, you are allowed full privacy about your medical care even when your folks are carrying the insurance on you.

You need to go and be seen this week and get a proper exam done. get tested for yeast and bacterial infections vaginally. If this is vaginitis going on and not herpes currently, all the acyclovir in the world won't make things better.

He said he has been tested, and that the results were negative for both types, but I don't think he was properly tested. I just don't understand how he could be negative but I didn't get this til after he performed oral sex on me and 4 days later I got the blisters. I'm on my parents insurance and don't want my testing to show up on it. How much does it cost? I've been taking acyclovir, will that mess up my test results? Can you have HSV months before the primary outbreak?

You need to be properly tested - a visual diasnosis of herpes can be wrong 1/3 of the time. As well, has your BF been tested? He should be as well. Both of you need to request an IgG type specific blood test - and/or, get in within 48 hours of symptoms to be tested by swab/culture for herpes and yeast/bacteria.
