HSV 1 IGG >5.0

HSV 1 IGG >5.0

If I tested HSV 1 positive with an IGG level of >5.0, would this indicate that the infection was acquired some time ago, as in greater than 1 week.  I had a sexual encounter, got blood drawn 4 days later, and these were the only results that came back positive.  Can I assume that I carried this infection far prior to the encounter?  As in I may have had cold sores at some point as a child or acquired it in high school athletics, as I was a wrestler.  I know there are no definites, but with this level of IGG detected, how long can I assume that I have been a positive carrier?

I appreciate all of your help!
