HSV-1 Positive and HSV-2 Negative

I recently had a test on Herpes and the result came as below
HSV-1 Herp Selects - 1gG - 7.03
and HSV-2 Herp Selects - .22

Doctor told nothing to worrry now, as its because in the past I might have exposed to the virus and body is acting against the virus. Please advice me. I dont do much sex with other than my partner and my partner is also in the same case. i got a baby boy of less than 6 months and both mom and baby is found as no sexual disease issues.
Please guide me

http://www.ashastd.org/herpes/herpes_learn_oralherpes.cfm  is a link with good info on hsv1 orally.  Odds are you have hsv1 orally and not genitally if you can't recall any symptoms in either location.

Your hsv2 was negative.

What caused you to get tested?

I had a few pimples kind of stuff at the innner surface of my penis.. but thats gone now... so thats made me to visit the doctor and as part of my regular checkup as well
