give the clinic a call monday and ask them to read the results to you. write them down to post here - e.g. hsv1 igg 5.9 and hsv2 igg 3.7 or whatever they are. that way we can be sure you were properly tested and see if you need additional confirmatory testing done or not.
no, constant burning isn't associated with genital herpes. Plenty of posts on that here and also on the herpes expert forum and the std expert forum here on medhelp. Just because you have genital herpes, doesn't mean it's the cause of everything that goes on in the genital area. Your symptoms aren't significantly improved while on antivirals which is one more indicator that herpes is not the reason behind whatever is going on too.
I was tested for HSV 1 and 2 and got positive results for both. Dont have the result slip so not sure of the values. Left it with the Doc after getting the news. I've been browsing a couple Herpses forums and I've seen a number of ppl post similar issues with constant penis burn, so not sure if its related to Herpes but would like to get to the bottom of this issue. Havent had any other major issues other than that just yet, but I've been keeping on the Acyclovir as a suppresant in the interim.
this is not the doctor's forum. you have to pay to post there.
I assume they did blood testing on you? What are the results?
echinnea and dynamiclear don't help for herpes.
Just burning and no obvious lesions isn't likely to be due to herpes, even if you really do have genital herpes. Also herpes won't only go away for a day or two, you'll have clear periods of no symptoms at all that will last for far longer than just a day or two here or there.
see an urologist at this point for further evaluation to try to figure out what is going on.
