HSV-1 and 2 results

I took the HSV-1 and 2 test in November. Can I please get an interpretation as to if I am positive or negative? Although already told about the results but I would just like to clarify.

HSV-1 IGG
Range 0.000-0.900

=1.10 POSITIVE

HSV-2 IGG
Results 0.35
Range 0.000-0.900

=1.1 POSITIVE

If the tests are positive, can you also determine how long before the test I might have contracted the virus?
What does the IGG say?

Thank you

you didn't post your hsv1 igg results. I don't need the ranges, just the actual numeric results.

your hsv2 igg of .35 is negative.

why did you get tested ?  how long prior to testing had you last had sex?

The report does not show my the hsv-1 igg. But the person told me I was positive for hsv-1. I am planning on taking another test sometime next week. I will deliver the results to you then.

I performed oral sex about 6 days before i got tested and 2 days after my boyfriend told me he could see lesions (initial symptoms) on his penis and told me to get tested. He was tested positive for hsv-1 genital herpes. I had a canker sore on the roof of my mouth while I performed oralsex. Could he have gotten genital herpes because of this? I know canker sores are NOT caused by herpes but could the open canker sore transmit the herpes virus? Or could the sore be caused by herpes?

Correction: he was tested positive for hsv-1 and hsv-2

How could he have gotten hsv-2 if I only have hsv-1? Is it possible? Or did he contract it from someone else?

I just asked him about the results. He told me he took a culture test and not an antibody test

it's not likely that his lesion culture came back as positive for both hsv1 and hsv2.

I recommend you both call the clinics you were seen at monday and ask for more info about your testing.  you were tested for hsv1 so there should be results. if your copy isn't showing them properly, perhaps the clinic can tell you exactly what they are.  same as your bf needs to find out more about his own testing to see if he actually had his lesion culture typed or not.

the things that cause canker sores to occur, can also trigger shedding of hsv1 orally too. really hard at this point to definitely say who had what first if that is what you are looking for.
