HSV-1 and Oral question

Hey about 8 weeks ago I had unprotected mutual masturbation and oral sex with another man and recently I have started to worry about herpes and wanted some more info on my risk. If about half of the pop has oral herpes or hsv-1 orally what is my real risk if the guy wasn't showing symptoms at all? How often does hsv-1 shed orally? I just think that most everybody would get genital hsv-1 if it was that easy to transmit that way since most people receive oral sex without protection. If I had gotten genital hsv-1 would I definitely have showed symptoms in 10 days or is it possible I went un-symptomatic? I mean what are the chances I would have gotten it from someone without showing symptoms and not gotten symptoms myself?
