HSV 1 and genital contact

I don't even know where to start with my question....ugh...I'm soooo stress and worried!!

So the other day I was having sex with my partner, and in the midst of it I made the mistake of using my saliva as lubrication on myself...so i licked my hand...yeah, pretty dumb mistake. Well I had just gotten a cold sore! It was in the blister stage, I guess. I had taken valtrex immediately when i got it and have been using denavir cream, so luckily it never completely formed! Yay haha.
My question is...out of my stupidity and not thinking...how likely will I end up having spread that to my genitals? It wasn't a lot of saliva (if that even matters cuz my mouth was dry), and I only did it once. I'm freaking out so bad and losing sleep over this! I've always been so careful :(
If I self infected, how soon will something show up down there?

this isn't an issue for you.  you have significant protection from transmitting the virus to other body parts.

significant protection? how so, if I had used my own saliva?

it's not 100% protection but it's pretty high up there. When you were infected with hsv1 orally your body made protective antibodies to keep you from transmitting the virus all over your body. It's incredibly low risk and not worth much worry about at all.

saliva in general is a poor lubricant and it's worth using a commercial sex lube when you need it. Saliva is a good way to take normal mouth flora to the genital area and get yeast infections especially.

haha...i know it's not the best lubricant, but in the heat of the moment...lol

I'm slightly confused...isn't hsv1 highly contagious to other parts of my self regardless of those antibodies? I thought that the virus can still be in your saliva and transmitted that way as well? My understanding was that it's EXTREMELY easy to spread oral herpes to one's genitals...
Thanks for helping me

it's almost impossible to transmit your own oral herpes to your genitals.

i've just always read online and been told by docs that you can spread it to yourself like your genitals and eyes if you're not careful
