HSV-1 concerns

Hello all.  I have a concern about hsv-1.  I recently came in contact with a female a little over 8 weeks ago.  Yesterday, I noticed a red patch about half inch long on my bottom left lip with some itchiness and tingling sensation.  I can't really see any blisters it looks more like hives.  I have never had a cold sore before, so not exactly sure what they look like.  However,  I though almost all cases appeared 2-20 days post infection and that the first occurrence was worst.  I definitely have not noticed thus before so what might it be other than hsv?  Or maybe I just have a slow to appear case?

if these are gone now, not a whole lot you can do.

you can follow up with type specific herpes igg blood testing just to see what your status is in general any time after 3 months after you last kissed someone. should these symptoms reoccur, be seen promptly for a proper exam.

Couldn't make it to the doctor.  The weird lesions I were seeing also appeared in the exact same spot on the opposite side of lower lip near the corner.  They don't look like blisters at all.  The initial group is almost dried up and disappearing after 3 days.  Any opinions?  Never any pain just a little itching.

have you ever been tested for herpes before?

best thing to do is to be seen and get a pcr swab done of this today or tomorrow if possible. that's the most accurate way to diagnose oral herpes.
