HSV-1 is this an outbreak?

I requested my dr. test me for herpes, with a type specific blood test, since my boyfriend tested negative for it (HSV1 and 2.) The results are positive for HSV-1 which I suspected because I believe I remember having a cold sore when I was very young. A good 20 years ago or so.

Any way... when I'm really stress I get a tingle on my upper lip and a tightness in my face. However lately I've also noticed the tastebuds on the very tip of my togune are becoming slightly inflamed and are painful as well. Is this an outbreak? I ask because I obviously do not want to kiss my boyfriend if it is. Part of me thinks it's from clenching my jaw when I sleep and pushing on my teeth with my tounge since my dentist tells me I have a horrible habit of doing this, but I've never had this inflamed feeling on my tounge before now. It's like eating too many sour patch kids of too much salt.

I've been to the dr about 15 times in the last month trying to find out what is going on with me. I was also afraid that I may have transfered herpes to my boyfriends penis through oral sex and then to my genital area because we had sex right after the oral sex. Is that possible? My dr has seen no lesions, but I've experienced some strange burning in that area. All other tests seem to be fine (gon., chlay., yeast.,)

the lip issues sound like oral herpes. the tongue issues do not.

don't perform oral on your man for a few days to err on the side of caution if you have the lip tingle. also discuss only performing protected oral on him too as a precaution.

it's up to the two of you how he feels about contracting hsv1 orally as far as if you kiss him or not .

I should also note this tingling on my lip is generally in the same spot everytime. I also have a tightness in the back of my jaw and the roff of my mouth directly above where my tounge tingles feels a little raw, but I can't see it. I'm convinced that waxing my upper lip last night caused this tingle and it's an outbreak which is scaring me since my boyfriend who is in the military is coming home today.

Is it possible this is herpes? I know my Dr will say without typical lesions it's not. Are these symptoms serious enough to avoid kissing my wonderful, amazing man who I haven't seen in months?
