HSV-1 transmission

Hi I am a 30 year old healthy gay male that recently was diagnosed with HSV-1.  I had oral sex with a new partner & he didn't realize that he was HSV-1 positive & not knowingly had a ulcer in his mouth he infected me while kissing me and also infected me by performing oral sex to my anogenital area.  During my first OB i developed ulcers in the anterior region of my neck above my Adam's apple.  Prior to realizing that I was infected with HSV-1 what I originally took as a ingrown hair  on my neck I went ahead & shaved that morning  & auto-inocculated a larger part of my neck which eventually developed a huge cluster of ulcers. I also developed 1 ulcer on the shaft of my penis,1 ulcer on the head of my penis & 4 ulcers on my anus. I have bought the over the counter topical ointment Dynamiclear & have applied the solution to my ulcers & they are in the process of healing.  I am also on anti-viral suppressants 400mg of Acylcovir twice a day.  

My 1st question is:  Since my ulcers were localized in my neck & anogenital region if i were to have asymptomatic shedding where would the virus shed from? My saliva? Tears? seamen? or dermatome where the ulcers originally broke out?

My 2nd question:  Since I developed no ulcers or lesions in my face, lips, or mouth on my 1st OB is it safe to say that I wont ever shed the virus in my mouth?  How safe would it be for me to kiss or perform fellatio?

you should've been given 400mg 3x/day for 10 days initially. did you take that dose?

you have oral and genital hsv1. the virus will periodically shed from both locations and at different rates. Oral hesv1 sheds far more than genital hsv1 does.  No reason to think that you won't shed the virus orally since you kissed this man and also contracted the virus on the neck area.
