HSV-1 very severe first OB

Hello Dr,

I was very saddened to find out that I have HSV-1 genital today, via swab/PCR testIng. My symptoms began with what I thought was a yeast infection, but grew into 20+ lesions. I've been with one guy who had no cold sores and has yet to be tested, so I'm not sure exactly how I acquired it.

Anyway, my entire vulva is swollen and red with 20+ blisters/lesions which are extremely painful. I was so certain that this was a horrible allergic reaction to a yeast infection as it got worse with use of Monistat, but my results that came back today proved otherwise:( Anyway, this has been the most painful experience of my life, I feel like my vagina is on fire sine finding out the results which leads me to believe its very psychological. To get to the point, so many people on here say their first HSV-1 outbreaks weren't that bad.
1. Why is mine literally worst than giving child birth? I can't even walk or stand up?

2. Also, I'm hesitant to use valtrex or acyclovir for my first outbreak because I want to develop the strongest antibodies that my body can produce with out suppressive drugs. Is this idiotic?

Thank you so much, any of your expertise would be so very appreciated.

I would like to know about this
I took a test and it showed herpes but on the forum many people said it was not type specific and it was waste of time so I really don't know about my herpes status yet, also even when I don't have any symptoms, my doctor proposed me acyclovir tablets and acyclovir cream, I have taken them for three days
He told me to take for ten days even when I have no symptoms and have not even done the type specific tests
I would also like to know if taking acyclovir can reduce your immune systems natural instincts to fight off a herpes
