HSV 2

I assume I have hsv 2 generally. I believe I was exposed a few weeks ago. I took a test for the virus but I won't get results until April. However I'm bracing myself for the news because around the opening of my vagina is sore and red. The morning I was going to the gynecocheilitisheilitisogist I actually had a bump down there that was red and sore. It looked like a very very small mosquito bite by the entry way to my vagina on the lower lip though.

Although it's rare I assume I have the hsv 2 infection orally as well. My throat has been hurting (not too bad) I've been gargling with iodine free sea salt and chewing garlic at times too. After gargling my throat feels better but I still have a very minor case of angular cheilitis on both corners of my mouth. I put sea salt water and coconut oil on it but it still has not gone away. It improves but won't go away.

Maybe if I do have hsv 2 orally it's in my throat because I haven't had sores or ulcers or anything. It could be a very mild infection just like how down below was very mild. When I went to the gynecologist she couldn't see any bump just redness. When I came home and looked for myself sure enough the bump was gone but like she said the redness was still there. My vaginal opening is still sore right now though.

I'm concerned that if I do have hsv 2 orally I could pass it to my new boyfriend by making out with him or eventually performing oral on him.

What's the risk of that happening? If I did have a mild hsv 2 infection in my throat could I pass it to him by making out (although rare). I wouldn't want to kiss him while I still have some pain in my throat. The sea salt water gargling is helping but if the pain went away does that mean I'm not at able to infect him? If I perform oral on him should I still make him put a condom on?

When a person has genital contact and that person does not have any genital sores at the time, the risk of contracting herpes would be close to zero. Also dont be concerned that youve contracted hsv2 oral as its rare as prefers the genital area.
None of what you mention would be a cause for concern that your having a herpes outbreak. Do let us know your test result.
