HSV 2 IGG results 3.83

I just recently took a herpes test at my school. My school doctor told me that i have herpes type 2. I took the herpes selective test and my hsv2 IGG came out to be 3.83. I asked me doctor if this could be false and she was really insistent on the fact that I have it. This is really bothering me because I've been a virgin all these years until 8 months ago( I'm 22). I haven't been with anyone but the partner that I have now (we've been dating for 8 months now). My partner got tested right before he met me and he said he was negative. This is why I'm questioning the result because I've never done anything with anyone until my boyfriend  whom I recently met. We've always used protection except for 1 time but the possibilities of that one time to get infected seems soo little. I told my partner this and he is going to get tested again. I'm assuming that if he gets a negative result, then my test result is wrong because hes been with me for 8 months. I was wondering whether for sure I do have herpes or not and whether I should get a western blot. I'm not sure how to live with this. I really hope this is wrong.
