HSV 2 Igg 2.5 change to Igg 0.7

I carried out a blood test for HSV 2 in March 2009, the result was positive (IgG = 2.5), after taking a traditional medicine, I carried out a blood test again in October, the result was negative (IgG = 0.79), i wish to ask, my HSV 2 actually is CURE? or RECOVER? Will it recurence or not? Also, will it transmit to my wife if intercourse without condom? Thanks

Sounds like your first test could have been a false positive. Anything under 3 has a good chance of being false.

Did you have a positive culture identified? If so that would be accurate

Your hsv2 igg was a low positive. At this point, do not take any more herpes medications and confirm it with additional testing like the herpes WB or a herpes biokit hsv2 igg blood test.

So the results went from positive to negative? Can this happen? When i asked the doc today she mentioned that IGG is about 99% correct.

I just got my testing (never had any outbreaks) and got a results back of HSV2 of 1.6.  The doc said she is certain i have herpes.

i am not sure but i think i might have gotten hsv 1 from i woman that i saw only once i recived oral sex from her with condom she did french kissed me once on my genetals wihtout condom  and after she put the condom on.  oral sex was deep and all together it was about 5 minutes  before i got up and left. i did testing on the second day just to know if i ll get things from her in the future of if i already have it. i repeat test in 4 weeks time and my herpes test came back positive  it goes as reads.

i am a bit confused if thats possible to have such a high igg score after 4 weeks from exposure.  My  hsv 2 just said negative. 2 days after exposure i have develepd shingles on my back and i am not quite sure have that plaied any role and should  i retest or it is possible and i should just accept the fact and move on with my life.

sorry forgot to say that first tests i did were all negative. that was again 2 days after exposure one thing as well i did took medication for shingles 4 days after exposre and 2 days after my shingles showed up on my mid upper back and lower chest.
