HSV 2 Location

by John900065, Nov 03, 2008 05:50PM
Is it true that an initial infection of HSV 2 must more or less occur at the point of entry?  Thus, if there is an irritation at a location that was clearly covered by a condom is it definitely not an initial outbreak of hsv 2?  Please only answer if you really know what you are talking about.

Thanks.

No, this is not true.

You can not rely on the location of symptoms as if it could or could not be herpes either. You need to go and be seen if you have genital symptoms going on.
