HSV 2 Testing

On the 16th of September, I am embarresed to admit, that I had an affair on my wife. I slept with a female that I was familiar with and as far as I know, doesn't have Herpes. I didn't wear a condon and it was a one time encounter. After I told my wife she went and got tested about a week ago and received the results back yesterday. She said that the HSV 2 results were positive. The test used was a blod test. My question is two part. 1.) Is there any hope that the blood test yeilded a false positive and 2.) How soon would HSV 2 show up in a test like this?

Did you get tested yet?

I can best help with your wife's blood test results if you can get them and post them here - ie hsv1 igg 5. 9 and hsv2 igg 3. 1 or whatever they are.
