HSV 2 from Cunnilingus

Hi there,

I had a brief encounter with a CSW recently. All that happened was that I went down on her (Cunnilingus) for about 15 minutes then I stopped after feeling guilty.

10 days after this exposure I can see a tiny red blemish on my lip the size of a pin head (Maybe a bit bigger). Automatically the panic set in and now I'm feeling a little bit of tingling and itchiness in that area. I've had the red blemish for about 24 hours now and it has stayed the same, no sign of it blistering and it hasn't gotten worse. How long from seeing a red blemish till it actually starts blistering ?

Just a few questions -

1 - What are the chances of getting HSV 2 from this episode ?

2 - Is 10 days accurate with the timing for HSV 2 orally ?

3 - I know it is rare to get HSV 2 orally, do any of you experts know of anyone getting HSV 2 from cunnilingus ?

Thanks for the help !

The tip thing is not suggestive of herpes. Dont mis understand me. The odds you contracted anything from your affair are really low from a one time outing. This is not about you but about your wife.

Hi,

So it's been 48 hours since I noticed the red spot/blemish on the top of my lip. I woke up this morning and it is still looks exactly the same, no change in size or colour and no yellowing or blisters ?

Does this sound like Herpes at all (I've got no other symptoms) ?

I'm just trying to get some peace of mind, because I'm to scared to even kiss people hello.

Just to add - If you look at my face you wouldn't notice the red blemish at all .... you would have to get up really close to see anything !

Grace ..... Would love your opinion.

Thanks !

Hi, if you gave oral sex to a CSW and you have a wife then test below:
1. Syphilis-----6 weeks
2. HSV------3 months

Just to go back to you first post .... I didn't see any sores on her at the time, but from what I've read about herpes sores is that they can be barely noticeable. For example, if she was experiencing a mild episode ?

Thanks for the reassurance !

My concern is that I have a wife and I would like to know if I can go back to sexual contact with her or should I wait a couple of days to see if the red patch progresses into a Herpes sore ?

If you think I should wait, how long would you suggest ?

Thanks for the help !

Hi, if she did not have any genital sores at the time, your risk would be close to zero. Also hsv2 prefers the genital area not the oral. What your describing is not suggestive of a herpes outbreak at all.
