HSV I question

I had recently kissed someone whos lips had looked a little weird at first and then later in the light they looked fine. So after kissing him I was worried about catching oral herpes but its been 3 days now and I have no symptoms. So I was wondering if it wouldve shown up by now.

i dont think so.. herpes is weird.. it takes any ware between 1week to 10 years to show symptoms. ( from what i have read).

if they do have herpes and it is type 1 then it is really no big deal. a lot of people have it and it is really just a bit irritating. most people get type 1 from a family member they kiss when they are really little . like you know how little kids give kisses and hugs .

it is weird they looked fine in the light but not in bad light. i dont think you need to worries mush but if you are in about 12-16 weeks go to your doctor and get a blood test

Thanks I was at a bar and they had fluorescent lights going on so I guess I freaked a little. I was also worried about if I did have it giving it to someone orally when no sore was present.

Statistically 1 out of every 2-3 people you've ever kissed so far in your life has had hsv1 orally. It's incredibly common. Even if you can't recall ever having had a cold sore yourself, you might already have it and not know it.
