Did you read the post about the igm testing and why it's useless?

Grace:
Thank you for your response, however I am still not sleeping.
I had a routine STD check on Jan 2, 2009. All three results came back negative. My recent results: Neg HSV I and HSV II ......BUT HSV IgM I/II, Combination .94 Equivocal were taken April 24th. I have not engaged in any risky behavoir in that period Jan. to April.
However, my doctor noticed the combination went from neg to .94 equivocal and told me I have and or may be getting herpes. I don't even know which type? I just took a more specific test yesterday.
Seeing I was neg with the HSV Combo in Jan 09 and .94 in April, does that mean I will be getting herpes, and if so which type since they were just reported as both neg on April 24th.
I am a 35 straight male. I have had no signs of any outbreak anywhere. I am still flipping out...
Thanks for any and all comments.
None of the tests you had done show that you are infected with herpes. Your igg's are both negative. Your igm is still technically negative but it's a poor test in general and shouldn't be used to diagnose someone as having hsv -

Did you have any genital symptoms or was this just a routine screening you had done?

how long did you take the test? after 3~4 months.
suggest repeat it 2 months later.
Can you please expand? My doctor seems to think I do and just gave me a prescritpion for Valtrex?
Thanks. CM
