HSV II IgM - Confused by positive results

I just had a complete test for all the usual STD's.
Everything came back negative except the HSV II IgM which was positive.
HSV II IgG also came back negative.

I read a post on this forum that sais that the results for the HSV II IgM test are meaningless and are not accurate.

Can someone please clarify this point.   I do not have any symptoms, but am obviously concerned about a positive test result.

Why would an HSV II IgG test return a negative result, and the HSV II IgM a positive result.

Any thoughts that might help would be very much appreciated.

Thanks for the reference to the article.  It was about one month no sex prior to testing.  Does this make a difference with the results?

herpes testing needs to be done after 3 months post encounter.

syphilis testing 6 weeks post encounter.

hiv and hepatitis testing is also 3 months post encounter.
