Dear Grace,

Please clarify my doubts, I have done IgG blood test at the end of 9 weeks, result is negative.

1. How many people test positive at 9 weeks mark and 10 weeks?
2. Can i do HSV PCR DNA test on blood sample at 10 weeks for conclusive result?
3. What is the recurrence rate of HSV1 - oral in children?

Please clarify.

My kid (6 yrs) shown few symptoms like high fever, lip redness and cough (dont know if its becos of sore throat), slowly recovered in about 7 days (after 2 weeks her lower lip had dry yellow skin). Doctor treated the kid for the symptoms and he said its becos of viral infection. I didnt tell the doctor about my case.

The reason is i myself dont know whether i am infected or not. I tested for IgG at 9 weeks and it was negative.

I am seperated from my family and heard that my kid is not eating properly and crying till midnight. I am not in talking terms with my family and i am worried my kid is affected with herpes or not.

please clarify:
1. How many people test positive at 10 weeks mark?
2. What is the recurrence rate of hsv 1 in children?
3. Can we expect a cure in 10 years time from Dr.Cullen or somebody?
4. How can i go about in my kids case, the doctors in my place are less educated about Herpes, the doctor looked at my ulcer and said its not herpes and he didnt bother about the TINY open cuts nearby? (but as of 9 week mark, i was tested NEGATIVE..

SHOULD I BELIEVE THE DOCTOR'S DIAGNOSIS or THE SYMPTOMS I HAVE SEEN AND EXPERIENCED!

I am not worried about me but my kid.

Please let me know your expert opinion.

The HSV PCR on blood is a waste of money - the virus is not blood borne, so it won't be detected.

sorry to add 2 more questions:

4. Did Aicuris - AIC316 submitted theiir results, was it accepted?
5. I do not know the full name of the drug in trials.. something like Baulti.. is it a cure for herpes, i couldnt see any info reg this.

Please clarify.
