HSV Test results

I went to het an STD test 12 days after an incident; I went to labcorp and mine like many others on this forum are confused on the results; can you help me understand? Can you tell if I have been infected?

HSV 1 IgG, result <0.91   Negative  1.09

HSV 2 IgG, result <0.91

HSV, Igm I/II combination is 1.88

no the + igm does not suggest that you were exposed. the false positive rate on the igm makes it too unreliable which is why we don't recommend its use.

Yes but it broke I am very stressed out about it, so the 1.88 does suggest that I was exposed?

the igm herpes test is a greatly flawed test and we never recommend it being drawn on adults.

your igg tests were done far too early after the encounter as was most of your std testing. You can get chlamydia and gonorrhea testing done anytime after a week post encounter but syphilis you need to wait until at least 6 weeks post encounter and herpes and hiv testing needs to be done anytime after 3 months post encounter.

your hsv1 igg and hsv2 igg is negative. You'll need to repeat your igg testing later on if you are concerned from this encounter.  was it protected sex?
