HSV info

i did a HSV 1 & 2 test, here are the result

HSV 1&2 IgG  positive

does this mean that i have Herpes and do i have to do another test to know which one specifically i have or does this mean i have both? Also i have no oral or noticeable vaginal syptoms (symptoms), so can this be a false positive? I'm going crazy not knowing what to do... Also i have not noticed any symtoms (symptoms) on my current sexal partner, so if i herpes is there anyway to know how long i've had it?

I would like to ask my partner to take an HSV test but i'm afraid he might believe i was unfaithful and i gave him herpes (if his test came back positive), any advice as to how i can go about bringing up the topic?

This appears to be a non-type specific test so yes indeed you'll need additional testing. You need to get a type specific test done.

i have oral herpes but dont show any symptoms or signs how do i know when i can pass it on?
