HSV or other Causes

I had a foolish night out on December 1st, slept with a girl and had unprotected vaginal sex.  This is the only sexual encounter I've had since May of this year.

Here is my timeline (Dec. 1st = 0 days):

8 days:     Noticed a slight pressure 2 inches above pelvic bone.

9 days:     Played a flag football game and noticed my right leg down to my foot was somewhat sluggish and felt slightly "asleep" at times.  That night had dull pain/pressure in right testicule.

10 days:     In morning developed rash in both creases of groin--only in crease.  Very flushed/warm feeling in face and neck, redness in face and neck. This feeling moved to the area around my eyes shortly after and then dissapated. Only slept 1 hour. Same slight dull pain/pressure in right testicule.  Poor appetite during the day.

11 days:   Inner thigh rash continued. In afternoon, had warming feeling just like the day before. Noticed groin lymph nodes swollen (probably 3/8" wide, firm, not tender).  Neck also felt swollen. Slight burning started on scrotum, inner thigh, down to knee and also burning feeling on back of both hands.

12 days:  Got tested for all STDs in morning.  That evening, burning in normal places.  Burning on scrotum and inner thigh and back of leg was more pronounced.  Very intense warming feeling around eye--slightly blurred vision. Still have groin rash in crease. Started to get chills.

13 days:  No burning feeling anywhere.  Only redness--looked like a very very mild sunburn on abdomen up to rib cage, on back from top of buttocks to above shoulder blades, and on upper chest to neck and face. Noticed many hair follicles on thighs had red bases (redness was about 1/4 size of a pencil eraser)--but no blisters or lesions at all--no raised bumps either.  Had chills during the day--feeling was like having cold air blown on a sunburn.

14 days:  This evening, slight redness from pelvis to rib cage and streaked redness from top of buttocks to mid shoulderblade.  Also redness from collar of neck to face. Hair follicules still have slightly red bases.

Some other things:
-No discharge of penis or any other functioning problems.
-No pain, redness, or burning on skin of penis.
-No fever, headache, or muscle ache.
-No lower back pain.
-Hair follicules are not reddened in pubic area-only on top and sides of thigh down to the knee.
-No areas of skin anywhere are tender or hurt whatsoever.
-The burning only occurred when I was sitting and usually in the afternoon and early evening.
-I have been stressed to the max about my symptoms during all this and I'm not sure if some of my anxiety created some symptoms.

Got some of the STD tests back today:
-Syphilis was Negative
-Noted mucus strands in urine
-IgM was negative (I've read this is a useless test)
-Still waiting on other tests to come back.

Questions:
1.) Do these symptoms sound like herpes?
2.) How long after the initial burning would bumps, sores, or lesions appear?
3.) Can anxiety cause anything I'm describing?
3.) If not herpes, any other suggestions or advice?

Did you ever find out what was causing this?

I had a similar experience...after 10 days a rash on thighs. daily burning in thighs, penis and legs continue after 12 weeks. Herpes I test was positive at 6 weeks. Herpes II test was negative at 6 weeks. Every doctor that looks at me says that its not herpes or any other STD. I am going to see a neurologist. Did your doctor recommend that?
