HSV possibility of false positive

My results came positive for HSV iGg type 1 positive >5 and iGg type 2=2.60. I haven't been active since the last time I got tested about six to eight months ago. I have had the type 1 sores as a young girl I believe I inherited it from my father. But I have never had any symptoms or outbreaks of the other type. Please help? Should I get the western blot to ease the doubt or assume I am in fact positive.

Thanks,
And blessed day

I would wait a few weeks and retest. Anything under a 3.5 is suspect for a false positive. Retest and if that comes back positive then seek out a western blot test.
