My husband has been diagnosed with HSV1. I have been diagnosed with HSV2. How closely are these related and why wold we not have the same type of HSV?

I can best help you if you get copies of your blood tests and post their numeric values here - ie hsv1 igg 5. 6 and hsv2 igg 2. 9 or whatever they are. that way we can see if you need additional testing done to confirm your hsv2+ result.

so why would he be hsv1+ and you be hsv2+? Well that would mean that you had hsv2 prior to meeting him. Did you have other partners before you got married ever?
