Recently I was diagnosed with HSV1 by a blood test. I can't think of ever having a cold sore. The closest thing I can think of is what I thought was jockJock itch itch that had spread a bit to my butt. I have never seen sores on my genitals or my butt however I have felt / seen a few bumps before on my butt. Some felt painfulPainful menstrual periods to the touch as described in various info I have read. I am assuming (no pun intended really) that indeed was an outbreak of Genital HSV1 however how can I be sure where the HSV1 resides - oral or genital? How can I be sure where the jockJock itch itch starts and possible genital HSV1 begins? How long could itchingCauses of vaginal itching Eye burning - itching and discharge Itching Jock itch Muscle twitching Vaginal itching symptoms remain before, during or after an outbreak? It's hard to talk with possible partners about risks if you aren't even sure yourself where and what you have.
Most folks who have hsv1 orally, aren't getting obvious cold sores to know it.
Your jockJock itch itch sounds like jockJock itch itch. If you think it's not, next time you have any of the symptoms that you think could be genital herpes related, go and be seen within 48 hours of their appearance for a lesion culture and typing. Hsv1 genitally tends not to reoccur much at all so odds are that your hsv1 is oral.
