My best recommendation for people concerned about STD or other symptoms see your doctor. I've visited my Urologist and any STD is ruled out. I just have to stop reading these post and not worry about these issues. Let my doctor and Urologist be the experts and follow their guidance.
http://www.ashastd.org/herpes/herpes_learn_oralherpes.cfm is a terrific link for more info on hsv1 orally. Odds are your hsv1 is oral and you will never figure out if you contracted it when you were 2, 12, or 20. Most adults have it.
