HSV1 and HSV2 Timeframe

Does anyone know the timeframe that it takes for HSV1 and HSV2 to show symptoms after exposure?  I know blood work is the only definitive, but I know that the Doctors on here (Hunter and Handsfield) have pointed out in the past that if it doesn't show symptoms in a certain timeframe then good chance you have contracted HSV.  Can't find those threads.

Thank you,
Jay

Hi Jay, other than a blood test getting symptoms would be the only other way as many people new show symptoms and the time frame would be about a week after exposure and this would consist of a sore then flu type symptoms.
Thats pretty much it.
